Meet Angel

A Stevens Medical Billing LLC has its roots in the family business my grandmother worked incredibly hard to build from the ground up. I grew up seeing the time, persistence, and dedication she put into creating something of her own and making it successful. While I was a stay at home mom, she gave me an opportunity to learn medical billing alongside her and trusted me with a place in the business she had worked so hard to build. That opportunity became the foundation of my career. Today, with nearly six years of experience, I’m proud to have built a business of my own while carrying forward the work ethic and standards I learned from her.

As my experience in medical billing grew, I wanted to keep building on what I had learned through years of hands on work. I enrolled in AAPC’s medical billing program on my own and completed my coursework with A’s. Continuing my education was important for my growth as a biller and business owner, but it was also important to me as a mom. I want my kids to see that there is always more to learn and that it’s never too late to invest in yourself, work toward something, and keep growing.

What I value most about this work is knowing there is a patient behind every claim. Insurance and billing issues can add stress to people who may already be going through a difficult time, and I believe they deserve to have that part of their care handled with patience and attention. I also understand how important it is for providers to be paid properly and on time for the care they provide. By staying on top of claims, payments, and insurance issues, I can help protect the financial health of the practice while taking some of that burden off both the provider and the patient allowing providers to focus more of their time and energy on the people they care for.

My faith and family have shaped the way I approach both my life and my work. I believe in being honest, dependable, communicating clearly, and following through. I take the trust my clients place in me seriously and want every provider I work with to feel confident that their billing is being handled with care and attention.
